Manual
Setup guides for Wrist Dope, one feature at a time. More sections are on the way — if you're stuck on something that isn't covered yet, email support@wristdope.com and we'll walk you through it.
Dope
The screen you shoot from — the live solution and the card behind it.
Range Card and Dope Card
Trim the range card to the distances you shoot, read the transonic shading, flip the holds to inches, and print a self-documenting dope card for the armboard.
Hit Percentage and Terminal Rating
Every target preset and what its size means, how group size, velocity SD and your wind call build the hit percentage, and what Ideal, Adequate, Marginal and Insufficient mean before a shot on an animal.
Field
Where the target and the wind get called.
Guns
Your rifles, your loads, and getting the numbers right.
Guns and Loads
Every field in the rifle and load editor — sight height, zero range, twist rate, barrel length, BC, muzzle velocity, group size — what each one changes in your solution and where to find the number.
Field Trueing
Correct the solver to your rifle: verify the zero, measure velocity with a chronograph or a group on target, then true BC at distance.
Scan Ammo
Scan the barcode on a box of factory ammunition and the load builds itself — bullet weight, ballistic coefficient and muzzle velocity, from a catalog bundled in the app.
Airgun Setup
Pick one of the eleven airgun calibers and the app seeds a 30 m zero, a real pellet and a small-quarry target — then trim the dope card to airgun distances and read the terminal rating.
Env/Set
Conditions, units, and every switch in the app.
Environment and Units
Where pressure, temperature, altitude and humidity come from, how AUTO and MANUAL differ, what the orange warning triangle means, and how to set imperial or metric units.
Settings
Every switch and picker in the app: units and per-measurement overrides, Live Fire and range-card steps, the advanced physics corrections, widget columns and mount rotation — plus which settings follow you between iPhone and watch.
Voice Control
Ask for a hold without taking your head off the scope: every Siri phrase for iPhone and Apple Watch, what Siri says back, and how voice works differently on Android.
Level
The anti-cant level, free on both devices.
Match
Stages, targets, and the live Stage Card.
Your watch
Hardware, the watch face, and the settings around the app.
Supported Watches
Which Apple Watch models run Wrist Dope, and what the barometer, the compass and the always-on display change on each one.
Watch Face Complications
Put a mini range card, your elevation and wind holds, the target, density altitude or the active load on the watch face — which slot each one fits, how to add it, and when it refreshes.
Watch Settings for the Rifle
The watchOS settings that keep your dope on the glass between shots — wrist raise, wake duration, always on, motion access, and the passcode trade, each with what it costs you.
Screen Orientation
Rotate the watch app to match a rail mount without moving the mount, and put the iPhone's landscape menu on the edge your hand can reach.
